Dr Montserrat Díaz Fajardo completed with honours (she was awarded with the Extraordinary Doctorate Award) her doctoral thesis on Arabic Philology in the Program of History of Arabic Science from the University of Barcelona. Her field of research is the critical edition, translation, study of the historical context, and analysis of the scientific contents of manuscripts written in Arabic language, with special concern to western sources from al-Andalus and the Maghrib, which shared a common scientific past, and its knowledge in medieval Europe. Among the authors she has studied we can mention Ibn Abī-l-Rijāl (ca 965-1050, fl Qayrawān), Ibn al-Kammād (fl Cordoba ca 1116), the scientific translators (13th century) of King Alfonso X of Castile, Ibn al-Raqqām (d 1315 Granada), Ibn 'Azzūz (d 1354 Constantine) and al-Baqqār (fl Fez ca 1418). She has carried out several research stays to the study and consultation of manuscripts at the Bibliothèque Nationale du Royaume du Maroc (Rabat), the Bibliothèque al-Hassania (Rabat), the Islamic Majlis Library (Tehran), the Malek National Library (Tehran) and the Real Biblioteca del Monasterio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Madrid).∞مونسيرّات دياث فاخاردو هي دكتورة في علم اللغة العربية، متخصّصة بدراسات تاريخ العلم العربي وحصلت على "جائزة رسالة الدكتوراه النادرة". بالنسبة إلى اهتمامها البحثي، تعمل في التحقيق الدقيق، شرح السياق التاريخي وتحليل الموضوع العلمي من المخطوطات باللغة العربية خصوصا المخطوطات الغربية المشتركة في الحضارة العلمية من الأندلس والمغرب ومعرفتها في اوروبا في القرون الوسطى. درست بعض المؤلّفين ومنهم ابن أبي الرجال (حوالي ٩٦٥/١٠٥٠م، مسجّل بالقيروان)، ابن الكمّاد (مسجّل بقرطبة سنة ١١١٦م)، المترجمون العلميون (القرن الثالث عشر) للملك القشتالي آلفونصو العاشر، ابن الرقّام (توفّي سنة ١٣١٥م بغرناطة)، ابن عزوز (توفّي سنة ١٣٥٤م بقسنطينة) والبقّار (مسجّل بفاس سنة ١٤١٨م). قامت بإقامة بحثية لدراسة المخطوطات واطّلاعها في المكتبة الوطنية للمملكة المغربية (الرباط)، الخزانة الحسنية (الرباط)، خزانة المجلس الإسلامي (طهران)، الخزانة الوطنية "ملى ملك" (طهران) ومكتبة الدير الملكية لسان لورينثو بالايسكوريال (مدريد) - info
