Soriano Robles has been linked to the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures (UB) since 1995 through research grants (pre- and post-doctoral) and as an associate lecturer and reader. Since 2008 she has been a tenured lecturer in this department and a researcher at the UB's Institute for Research in Medieval Cultures (IRCVM). She learnt and trained in codicology and textual criticism under the direction of Dr. Vicenç Beltran and Dr. Gemma Avenoza. In her doctoral dissertation she dealt with the Hispanic medieval fragments and editions of the Tristan in prose and their textual transmission, a subject on which she has published a book (Livro de Tristan, Rome, 2006), as well as on the fragmentary tradition of Hispanic Arthurian works, from a codicological approach, in various articles in specialist journals and general studies. She also has participated in international colloquia as a guest speaker focusing on the study of this subject (Univ. Porto 2011, Univ. Cambridge 2014). As a result of her research on Arthurian literature, she is currently preparing, together with Antonio Contreras (UAB - Institut d'Estudis Medievals), the edition of the Spanish translation of Rodrigo de Cuero's Chronicle of England with the fructo de los tiempos (1504-1509), commissioned by Catherine of Aragon, and the underlying English text. They have advanced in the study of the sources used by the Spanish translator, publishing the results in different journals (Revista de Literatura Medieval) and miscellanies.
Since 1995, Soriano has been part of the pioneering research project in HD Philobiblon's BITECA (Bibliografia de Textos Catalans Antics), a bio-bibliographical database on Romance texts written in the Iberian Peninsula in the Middle Ages and coordinated by Charles B. Faulhaber (University of California Berkeley). Together with other colleagues of the research group, she has published various works focused on the publication of unknown witnesses, on quantitative codicology and on European and American bibliophilia of the 19th and 20th centuries; she has collaborated on the descriptive volume of the medieval Catalan works preserved in libraries and archives of the Valencian Community (2013). She has also participated in the PhiloBiblon seminars for training researchers organised annually since 2015 held at Cilengua in San Millán de la Cogolla and at the National Library of Spain and the UCM Marqués de Valdecilla Historical Library in Madrid.
She belongs to various national and international scientific societies, including the Asociación Hispánica de Literatura Medieval. She is the editor of its Bibliographical Bulletin, as well as the maintainer of the bibliographic DB of medieval Hispanic literature in open access.
