After training in Hispanic Philology, my doctoral thesis "The critical reception of Eça de Queirós in Spain" was directed towards Portuguese and Brazilian studies and 19th century literature, a line of research that I have combined throughout my academic life with studies feminists and gender, comparative literature and translation studies. My curriculum includes more than a hundred scientific publications in Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, English and French in prestigious academic publishers and magazines with high indexing (Blackwell, Cátedra, Oxford University Press, Gredos, Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda, Presença, Liguori Editori, John Benjamins, Cambridge Scholar, L'Harmattan, Bulletin of Hispanic studies, Cuadernos Hispanoamericanos, Revista de Estudos Literários, Estudos de literatura brasileira contemporânea, Lectora, etc.).Since 1990 I have been part of the team directed by Carlos Reis (Universidade de Coimbra) for the realization of the critical edition of the work of Eça de Queirós. In the context of this project I have been in charge of the critical editions (annotated and with variant apparatus) of A Ilustre Casa de Ramires (1999) and Textos de Imprensa V (2005), both published by Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda. Over the years I have been a member of 17 projects and R&D+i networks, national and international, in the areas of translation studies, language contact and gender studies. I have been Principal Investigator of three projects of the National R+D+i Plan (2011, 2014 and 2020) and two funded research projects in teaching innovation (UB 2008 and 2010). Since 1994 I have been a research member of the Centro Mujeres y Literatura (UB), currently Centro Investigación ADHUC Teoría, Género Sexualidad, where I have developed research as the IP of my projects on the criminal narrative written by women in Spain. My last project as an IP was Gender, violence and representation. The texts of creation in the peninsular women's press (1848-1918) #GenViPref PID2020-113138GB-100 and it has allowed me to apply those knowledge to my initial area of study, the 19th century. During these years I have combined my theoretical studies of translation with the practice of literary translation. I have translated works by Castelao, Eça de Queirós, Machado de Assis, Camões, Ana Miranda and, very especially, Clarice Lispector, of whose work I have translated 15 volumes for Editorial Siruela. For one of them, Queridas mias, I received the XII Giovanni Pontiero Translation Award in 2012. I have participated by invitation in more than 60 international conferences in Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Italy, France, Cuba or Australia, among others, and I have given lectures at the universities of Illinois (Chicago Campus), Oxford, Coimbra, Évora and U New from Lisbon. .Throughout my career I have carried out extensive outreach work that includes conferences in cultural centers, management of reading clubs in public libraries or publication of articles in the mainstream press. I have directed nine theses, two of them with the Extraordinary Prize, and I am currently directing another four. In the field of management, between 2015 and 2018 I directed the UNESCO Chair "Women, Development and Cultures" (University of Barcelona) and from 2008 to 2016 I was director of the Department of Romance Philology at the University of Barcelona- info
