ENOCH ALBERTI ROVIRA

Born in Vilafranca de Penedès (Barcelona), 1958. Law degree, University of Barcelona (1981), further studies at the University of Bielefeld, West Germany (1982-1984) . Doctor in Law, University of Barcelona (1985).

Chair Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Barcelona since 1992. Director of the Research Group ' Group of European and Constitutional Studies ' (since 1996), recognized as a research group by the Government of Catalonia. Partner since 1992 of the Group d'Etudes et de Recherches sur la Justice Constitutionnelle, Aix en Provence and Marseille. Visiting Professor at the European Law Research Center of the Law School of Harvard University (USA), during 2003-2004. Dean of the Faculty of Law at the UB, since March 2008.

He has published several books and articles on territorial organization , economic constitution, fundamental rights and European integration, in Spanish and foreign editorials and journals. He has participated in several research projects as director and collaborator, funded by public and private entities (Ministry of Education and Science , Generalitat de Catalunya , Fundación Juan March, Institut d'Estudis Autonòmics, Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales, BBVA Foundation). Member of the academic board of several academic journals (Revista Española de Derecho Constitucional, la Revista Española de Derecho Europeo, la Revista de Derecho Comunitario Europeo, la Revista de Estudios Autonómicos y Federales , la Revista Catalana de Derecho Público y la Revista Vasca de Administración Pública, Revista de Educación y Derecho) .
It has been called as an expert in hearings at the Senate , Parliament of Catalonia, the Canary Islands Parliament and Congress-Senate Joint Committee for the European Union and other institutions on issues related to their specialty. Member of the Advisory Council for the National Transition, Government of Catalonia (2013).

Awarded with the Nicolas Perez Serrano award for PhD Thesis , Center for Constitutional Studies (1986 ); in France , the Silver Medal Robert Schumann, on a proposal from the FVS Foundation of Hamburg, West Germany (1988) and the silver Medal of Honor to merit of the Guardia Urbana, awarded by the city of Barcelona (2013).
