My name is Carmen Muñoz and I am full Professor of Applied Linguistics and English Linguistics at the Faculty of Philology and Communication of the University of Barcelona. I teach courses on second language acquisition in the English Studies degree and in the master's program LAALCM (Applied Linguistics and Language Acquisition in Multilingual Contexts). I coordinate the research group GRAL (Research Group on Language Acquisition), recognized as "Excellent" by AGAUR (Catalan Government). In my research I have specialized in instructed second language acquisition and, in particular, in the effects on language learning of age and individual differences.
