She developed her professional activity at the University of Barcelona, with the exception of the period as Professor of Private International Law at the Universities of Córdoba and Autonomous University of Barcelona. In these years she has developed an extensive teaching and has directed many PhD theses. She has projected abroad her teaching task in European and American universities. It is remarkable the fact that she was director of studies and professor twice at the Academy of International Law in The Hague. This external projection has another side on the active participation as an expert in the Hague Conference on Private International Law and the European Union (civil cooperation). She is member of prestigious scientific institutions such as the Institut de Droit International and the European Group for Private International Law (GEDIP). With more than 200 publications in various countries, she has participated and led numerous research projects at regional, national and European level.
