My research aims to understand the magmatic systems and the timescales of the processes occurring at depth and during magma transport towards the surface. I'm a petrologist/geochemist/volcanologist, and I use multidisciplinary approaches that relate petrological, geochemical and diffusion modelling results with volcano monitoring data. I commonly use a range of instruments and techniques; mainly the EPMA, SEM, EBSD and LA-ICP-MS. I am also trained in the use of XRD, XRF, ICP-MS, TEM, FTIR, viscometer, and Journal Bearing Flow (magma mixing experiments). For petrological and geochemical data modelling I also use a range of software: DIPRA, MELTS, MCS and MATLAB. I also have significant experience in organizing and carrying out field work in a range of environments and working with GIS
