Professor of Arabic Studies at the University of Barcelona since 2011. She teaches medieval and modern history and has developed various research projects: as a von Humboldt researcher at the Goethe Universität (Frankfurt am Main), at the Kyoto Sangyo University (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science), at the Warburg Institute in London and at the Université Aix-Marseille.
She is currently working on two research subjects:
As a member of the team OCORDE (PID2020-114484GB-I00), on the study of the territorial occupation, the population, the defense and the taxation of Catalonia and Septimania during the Umayyad conquest. As a member of the group 'The Catalan-Aragonese Crown and the Medieval Mediterranean World (CAIMMed)' (SGR 00502), on a new edition and study of the 'Cartes Ŕrabs' at the Arxiu Reial of Barcelona, in the framework of an international research project in collaboration with the CSIC-Barcelona, the Université de Ličge and the Université Aix-Marseille.
