Visual artist, researcher and teacher. She resides in Barcelona, where she works as an associate professor in the Department of Visual Arts and Design, and a specialist technician in Artistic Processes and Edition section of the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Barcelona.
She graduated in Fine Arts, PhD Cum Laude from the University of Barcelona (2016) with the thesis: F(r)icciones con lo real: las cajas chinas. Extraordinary doctorate award (2014-2015). Specializing in graphic work and digital media, she completed the European master's degree PA & R Printmaking, Art and Research (1998-2000), and the postgraduate degree Graphic work today: from engraved print to digital print I at the University of Barcelona (1998).
She is a member of the group 13L, started in 1998 and related to artist books or bookworks. They have produced collective editions and participated in numerous national and international exhibitions.
Since 2008 she produce various interdisciplinary projects together with Raquel Muñoz, their common trajectory covers media and ideas between reality and fiction, hybridity and the effects of cultural globalization (Chinese Fantasy. Yiwu's Garden, MIOP, 2010), violence implicit in language (Esto está pasando porque tú quieres, 2013) or the possibilities of technology. Some forgeries (Las cajas chinas, 2011) and other offenses related to the interpretation of our world.
He has received various production grants, carried out residencies in art centers and participated in individual and group exhibitions in national and international centers and institutions, among which the following stand out: IVAM, MNAC, Fundación Joan Miró in Mallorca, Es Baluard, CASM, ICUB La Capella, CACT (Thessaloniki), Tallin Print Triennial (Estonia), SHIFT space (Shanghai).
