My profile

Member of the GRC (Consolidated Research group) of Geodynamics and Basin Analysis (from 1997) and Geomodels Research Institute (UB). Research interest focused in Sequence Stratigraphy, Stratigraphic and Sedimentological analysis of ancient deltaic systems, Basin Analysis, Chrono- and Cyclostratigraphy, characterization and 3D & 4D Modelling of Reservoir Analogues, Tectonics-Sedimentation relationships among others. This research has been mostly developed on Paleogene sediments from the South-Pyrenean Foreland basin, and occassionally on the tertiary of the Duero basin (Spain), Cretaceous of the Western Interior seaway (USA), San Jorge basin (Argentina) and Neogene from the Vallès-Penedès basin and Besòs quaternary delta (Spain).

(1989-1991) Pre-doctoral researcher contract, Fundació Bosch i Gimpera, Universitat de Barcelona. (1992-1995) Pre-doctoral Fellowship (FPU), Departament de Geologia Dinàmica, Geofísica i Paleontologia, Universitat de Barcelona. (1996) Fellowship (Becario de colaboración docente). (1997-1999) Contract as Assistant Professor, (Ayudante de Universidad LRU). (1999- 2003) Associate Professor (Profesor Asociado Substituto). From 2003 Lecturer (Profesor Titular de Universidad), Departament d'Estratigrafia, Paleontologia i Geociències Marines, now Departament de Dinàmica de la Terra i de l'Oceà (UB).
