Jordi Guilera holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and is currently a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Barcelona. He is also the head of the Sustainable Fuels research group at the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research. His research focuses on the production of synthetic fuels generated from green hydrogen and carbon dioxide, including the development of catalysts, reactors, and prototypes for real-site validation. In this field, he has participated in and led multiple projects at the European and national levels, including 14 as principal investigator. Through strong industry-academic collaborations and technology transfer projects, he is driving advancements in sustainable energy solutions. As a result of this work, he has published more than 40 scientific articles and a book on hydrogen technologies. His primary motivation is to contribute knowledge and develop technologies that enable the decarbonization of the economy
