Study of heavy-flavor hadron properties in vacuum and in a medium at finite temperature. Development of effective interactions between heavy and light degrees of freedom, dynamical generation of states and in-medium properties of heavy mesons and baryons. Application to the calculation of heavy-flavor transport coefficients for their implementation in heavy-ion physics phenomenology
