Graduated in Political Economy and Sociology in 1985, I joined the Department of Econometrics and Statistics as an intern the following year, and in 86-87 I became assistant professor. At the end of 1989 I could consolidate the status of professor.
Since then up to now I have taught different courses in the area of quantitative methodology applied to the Social Sciences: Diploma in Statistics, Degree in Economics and Sociology, Degree in Business Administration, Management and Public Administration, Criminology, Labour Relations and more recently in the degrees in Political Science and Public Administration, Labour Relations and Security. I have also participated in various master's degree courses, for example in the Master's Degree in Strategic Management and Security Police Direction since its creation.
With Dr. Juli Sabaté I co-direct the Victimization Survey of Barcelona and the Metropolitan Area since its inception until 2008. Survey of Public Safety of Catalonia. In 2010 I left this projects that are still being carried out in good hands. I have also conducted the technical surveys Barcelona Mobility (Field of Public Roads of the City of Barcelona) and Catalonia (ATM-DPTOP) since its inception in 2008. Currently I work in the research group IREA (Applied Economics Research Institute), led by Dr. Montserrat Guillen. From 1994 to 2007 I was the principal investigator of IERMB (Institute of Regional and Metropolitan).
