My main lines of research are:
- Law of international organizations. (international responsibility of IOs, specificity as subjects of international law, competences and the legal regime of IOs' agents).
- Application of international law: International environmental law and international law of human rights. I have worked on social rights, with special emphasis on gender issues, and emerging human rights, such as the right to water and the right to the environment.
- EU law. Particularly democratic legitimacy, citizenship and institutional reforms.
- International cooperation in tourism
My research activity has been developed as member of the research group Area of Public International Law of the UB -consolidated research group-, II Research Plan of the Generalitat de Catalunya. My publications evidence the interrelationship between the different lines of research. Within these research fields, I have directed and coordinated groups of national and international researcher.
I have more than 25 years of teaching experience at the UB and other Spanish and foreign Unviersities, in the the field of public international law and European Union law . I am member of the teaching innovation group 'area of public international law and international relations ' of the UB, from 2000. Since 2019, I participate in the monitoring commissions of the Interuniversity PhD in Gender Studies: cultures, society, and politics.
I have also developed management tasks in my university as Secretary of the Department of International Law and Economics, from 2004 to 2008 and again in 2013. I was Assistant to the Vice-Dean on Research and international relations of the Faculty of Law (2013-2016). I am currently the coordinator of the Public international law and international relations section at the UB Department of Criminal Law, Criminology, Public international law and international relations.
I was Secretary of the Revista Electrónica de Estudios Internacionales (2011-2016) and member of the Editorial board (2016-2019). I am member of the Spanish Association of Professors of international law and international relations and of the European Society of International Law. I am currently member of the Coordinating Committee of the ESIL IG in International Organisations.
