My academic activity began in 1992 when I joined the research group led by Professor Santiago Mir Puig. Today I form part of the Consolidated Group of Research in Criminal Law and Criminal Policy led by Professor Santiago Mir Puig. My doctoral thesis 'Command Responsibility in Criminal Law' was awared the PhD's Prize of the Faculty of Law (UB).
In the teaching field, I offer various subjects related to the criminal law at the Law Degree. Nowadays I'm also teaching in different specialized Masters in Criminal Law.
My academic training has been completed by predoctoral stays and postdoctoral research at foreign universitites, specifically in the Max Planck Institut für Internationales und ausländisches Strafrecht (Freiburg) and the University of Munich.
The main focus of my research interests centres on the General Part of Criminal law, highlighting my publications on authorship and participation, justification, causation and error. Moreover, the issues I worked on are: gender violence, property crime, criminal protection of workers, illegal arrests and corruption.
I have participated in Numerous R+D+I . Currently I am participating in the research project: 'New Challenges of Criminal Law against consumer fraud' , funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation .
